More Tips and Tricks

This week I bring you 10 tips and tricks to profit from.....

1 Create two versions of your e-zine so people
can choose if they want ads included with it or not.
This'll attract the people who hate ads to subscribe.
You could also charge a subscription fee to the
e-zine without ads. This will make up for the lost
advertising revenue.

2 Create a long-term relationship with your entire
customer base. You can stay in touch with them
through an e-zine, with greeting cards, opt-in lists,
autoresponders, messages boards, chat rooms,
e-mail discussion lists, instant online messages, etc.
When you stay in touch, people don't forget about
your business.

3 When you write and give away a free e-book
you will become known as an expert. This will enable
you to gain people's trust and they will buy your main
product or service quicker. You may get offers
from other people wanting you to speak, consult,
coach, etc.

4 Give your new customers surprise free gifts. This
will increase their loyalty and give you more word-ofmouth
advertising. For example, your customer could
tell your friend, "I just ordered this new advertising
e-book and they gave five other e-books as surprise
bonuses! I really got a great bargain!"

5 Offer free classified ads on your web site that
expire after a particular time period. People will
revisit your web site over and over to resubmit.
You could have other things expire or be updated
so they will revisit, like e-books, articles, links,
software, message board postings, etc.

6 Design your site so it will be worth bookmarking.
Your visitors will bookmark your web site if it's full
of free, original content like articles, e-books, etc. You
could survey your target audience to see which web
sites or what type of sites they visit a lot. Then you
could place those links all in one section of your
web site. You could advertise it as a start page.

7 Give people a free subscription to your e-zine.
Almost everyone is publishing an e-zine nowadays
so it's important to give something extra with the
free subscription. You could offer a weekly
contest for new subscribers. For example, you
could say, "Subscribe And Have A Chance To Win
Our Latest Home Study Course!"

8 Create an extra revenue stream with your web
site's articles or content. Publish the first paragraph
of each article and charge people to read the rest.
You could also allow other authors to submit their
articles to make money. You would just share
the profits!

9 E-mail targeted e-zines and ask them to do a
joint venture with you. Ask them to run your ad and
in exchange they would get a percentage of the profits.
You would just have to get them to join your
affiliate program. To give them more incentive, you
could offer them a higher commission than the rest
of your normal affiliates.

10 Find a niche for your new free e-zine. There
are thousands of free e-zines; your e-zine needs to
be “extra-specialized” to attract new subscribers. It
could be the type of content you offer, like you interviewing
experts, having crosswords or word finds,
reviewing products, having a question/answer section,
etc.

My Assorted Tips and Tricks

Welcome all to my tips and tricks blog. We are dedicating this blog specifically for Tips on a variety of subjects connected to Internet Marketing. We hope you enjoy them and if you would like some other info you can have a look at our main blog here. So on with the tips we go.

List Building:

1. The Specific Date Technique
Tell your potential subscribers they will get a free bonus for subscribing before a specific date. Tell them the bonus won't be available after that date. You could also say they need to subscribe before midnight or the end of the day.
2. The So Many Minutes Technique
Tell your potential subscribers they will get a free bonus for subscribing in so many minutes. You could have a timer running down the time on your opt-in form. If they really like your bonus, they will subscribe before the time runs out.
3. The Here's Your Lesson Technique
Tell your potential subscribers they will get a free ecourse for subscribing. You could just publish each lesson on a daily autoresponder series. People like to take courses one lesson at a time. You could even include an ad with each lesson.
4. The E-Report Technique
Tell your potential subscribers they will get a free ereport for subscribing. You could write up a 5 to 12 page e-report that your subscribers would really be interested in. You could have it ready to download in PDF format on your "thank you for subscribing" page.
5. The Tease Me Technique
Tell your potential subscribers they will get a free sample chapter of an e-book you are selling if they subscribe. People like to get a sneak preview of products before they buy them. Even if they don't buy your e-book, you'll be able to sell them something else in the future.

Joint Venture Maketing Tips

1. Co-Op Ad For An Ad
First find a targeted web site/e-zine in which you would want to buy an ad from. You would then persuade four other businesses to join in on the cost of the ad. In return they would get a space on the web site you are advertising. You would ask the four businesses to pay you 1/4 of the ad’s cost. That means you would pay nothing for the ad.
2. Host An E-zine's Back Issues (Archives) For An E-zine
Ad

A lot of e-zine publishers don't publish their archives on their web site. It's extra work and takes up a lot of web space. You could offer to archive an e-zine’s back issues on your web site in return for the e-zine continuing to run one of your ads. Or just have them mention the archives are on your web site because your product ads would be there anyway.
3. Trade A Percentage Of Your Sales For An Ad
You could ask e-zine publishers/webmasters to run your ad in return for a percentage of each sale. They could join your affiliate program. The offer is usually more successful if your product is brand new.
4. Submit An Article For An Ad
You could submit your articles to e-zine publishers/webmasters who accept submissions. They would receive valuable content and you would get free publicity. Just include your resource box (ad) at the end of your article.
5. Trade Any Type Of Ad For An E-zine Ad
You could trade any type of ad for an e-zine ad. It could be a banner ad, classified ad, graphical ad, links, etc. You may have to give them extra ads or incentives because people usually value e-zines more than web site ads.
